Designated Fossicking Lands.
There are Nine Designated Fossicking Lands in Queensland:
Six are Sapphire Fields in Central Queensland
- Willows - surrounds the township
- Sapphire - surrounds the township
- Scrub Lead - between Rubyvale and Sapphire
- Rubyvale - North and West of township
- Divide - West of Rubyvale
- Reward - West of Rubyvale
Three are Boulder Opal Fields,
One of which is in Western Queensland
- Opalton - 100kms southwest of Winton
Two of which are in South-Western Queensland
- Duck Creek - 100kms southeast of Quilpie
- Sheep Station Creek - southeast of Quilpie
